Process
Let our contractors take care of the process of installing an air conditioning unit in your home or business. Once you have selected the correct ac system suited for your needs, our team will arrive and take good care of protecting your floors and carpets by covering them with sheets of plastic and wearing shoe covers. Our next step would then be to remove the old system or to cut holes for your new system. Once the new system is in place, we will walk you through how your new system works. This job can take anywhere from 4 to 6 hours, depending on what needs to be done to install your new ac.
Placement
When you are wanting to put an air conditioning unit or heating unit into an indoor space then you will firstly need to decide where you are wanting to place it. The placing of a unit is very important. Ideally you want your air conditioning unit installed on the cooler side of your house. An outdoor air conditioning unit will need to be installed in an area that is well-ventilated. There should be ample space to work on it for maintenance jobs in the future. It should also be installed in a space where there is no risk of it being exposed to any corrosive substances.
Equipment
Our team has the best and most up-to-date equipment needed to install an air conditioning unit as quick as possible. Some of the equipment needed is very basic, such as a tape measure and a permanent marker. Power tools are needed as well, such as a sawzall. This tool can cut through pretty much everything, just depending on the blade you have on it. There are also electrical testers, a step ladder, an extension cord, screwdriver and also a caulking gun that will be needed. There are also a number of add-ons which you can add to your existing air conditioner.
Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio
More commonly known in the industry as SEER. This ration is based on the amount of cooling your system is putting out for each unit of energy it consumes. The higher the SEER is, the more efficient the equipment is. Since January 2006, the government requires that all new air conditioning units must have a ratio of no lower than 13. Some air conditioning models have ratios that are as high as 23. Our customer service staff can assist you in determining whether your system is running efficiently and help you rectify the issue if it is not doing so.
